Kota Bayuemas, Klang, Selangor, December 22, 2022 – Hextar Global Berhad proudly completed our second Solar PV installations as we embraced solar power as a symbol of our unwavering commitment to sustainability.
Our commitment to sustainable practices extended to our corporate office with the installation of a 20 kWp Solar PV system in our corporate office in Kota Bayuemas, Klang. We successfully commissioned the Solar PV system on 11 Jan 2023. This initiative is poised to enhances energy efficiency on-site which will deliver energy savings from FYE2023. This initiative not only reduces our carbon footprint but also strengthens our energy efficiency.
This installation augurs well with UN SDG # 7 which is to ensure affordable and clean energy as it reduces dependence on fossil fuels and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. It will also directly contribute to UN SDG # 13 which is taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Solar PV significantly mitigates climate change by reducing GHG emissions. It aids in achieving emission reduction targets by replacing fossil fuel-based electricity generation with clean and renewable energy.
With these initial successes, we're committed to expanding our solar power infrastructure across other Hextar Group facilities. These future installations will undergo rigorous evaluation, ensuring they align with our emissions reduction targets while remaining cost-effective and energy-efficient.
