WHO WE ARE
Halex Holdings Sdn Bhd was incorporated in Malaysia on 13th October 1990 as a Private Limited Company. It was subsequently converted to a Public Limited Company on 11th January 2007, facilitating our listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd on 16th September 2009. With effect from 29th May 2019, the company changed its name to Hextar Global Berhad. We are principally an investment holding company.
Hextar Global Group of companies started off in 1980 with Halex (M) Sdn Bhd; a trading company specialising in the import and distribution of Agrochemical and Fertiliser products.
Today, more than 40 years later, Hextar Global Group has expanded and diversified towards our main subsidiaries, while still maintaining our core business in Agrochemicals.
HISTORY
Halex (M) Sdn Bhd started as a trading company specialising in the import and distribution of Agrochemical and Fertiliser products.
Commencement of horticulture business.
The first local company in Malaysia to commercialise pineapple-shaped Millennium Plants.
Commercialisation of baby wipes & tissue products under the brand TenderSoft.
Successfully innovated a motorised power sprayer to deliver biological insecticides, namely Dipel® ES to control bagworms and nettle caterpillars in tall oil palms.
Successfully launched Ohsin® 20WP in Malaysia from Mitsui Chemicals, Inc., Japan.
Halex Holdings Berhad listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.
Waras Dinamik Sdn Bhd acquired majority shares of Halex Holdings Berhad.
Halex Holdings Berhad acquired 100% equity in Hextar Chemical Limited.
Halex Holdings Berhad changed its name to Hextar Global Berhad.
Acquisition of controlling stake in Biogas Engineering (BEE) Sdn. Bhd.
Hextar diversifies into specialty cleaning chemicals and acquire Chempro Group, a leading cleaning disinfectant business.
Hextar acquires Nobel Group, a rubber chemicals company.
Hextar acquires 49 % stake in Hextar Kimia (fka ENRA Kimia Sdn Bhd).
Acquisition of TufBond Technologies Sdn Bhd, a synthetic latex polymers manufacturer.
Hextar Global Berhad acquired 100% equity in PT Agro Sentosa Raya.
